Examiners want immediate correction.
Students alone donot suffer from examination fever.Examiners too get jitters as they brace themselves to face the toughest part of their jobs,correcting answer sheets in a cramped,hot and humid rooms for a partly sum of Rs6 per corrected sheet.Every year during April-May,examiners tavel the length and breadth of the city to reach Kalina,some have to travel all the way from Thane,MiraRoad,Kalyan,Kasara,Raigad,Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg.They are paid Rs80 as a travel allowance per day which not sufficient according to them.They are not provided an adequate infrastructure,such as chairs,tables and rooms for correcting the answer sheets.Outside examiners are put up at the University's guest house.One room is shared by more than six examiners,the conditions are extremely unhygienic.The Vice chancellor has promised them he will hold a meeting on May9 to discuss the revision of theirs remuneration.
